ECIL | When we moved to our present home 8 years ago a glass top stove was included with the home. It lasted 3 years when a circuit board went out. Those are not cheap. I was able to find a real nice new gas stove for about the same price as a new circuit board. It was a scratch-and-dent special but the only damage was a scratch along the side. That is hidden by cabinets anyway. One problem we found with a glass top was the glass could pit if a pot boiled over. That doesn't happen with a gas stove. | |
