NWMO | My Grandpa was in same position a few years back. Medicare would pay for him to go to rehab for up to 100 days as long as he showed improvement on a weekly basis. I'm no expert on Medicare and it was probably 5-6 years ago in Missouri. So I don't know if it is still like that or even if it's the same in all states but I know that's how we got him in rehab facility after a stay in hospital. If I remember right we talked with Social Worker at the hospital and they helped us get him in. My mother-in-law in Arkansas similar situation last year and the rehab facility got everything lined up for her to go there. Couple ideas for you. Hopefully helpful. | |
