Don't listen to all these people ,that don't know. We put barn tin over shingles in 2003 by a contractor that was doing it. Lot's of people worry about noise, quiet , never changed. If your shingles don't leak , if tin gets a drip ,it goes down old shingles. I have never been sorry and it will last a VERY long time.
