Fountain County
You can bury your $$ or you can put your $$ on a good RTK system that will make every $ matter and return in the long run. I wouldn't trust Deere RTK if my life depended on it for tiling. Get yourself a base station so you can make every penny in the tile, labor, installation etc be well invested in bringing you the best crop later. If you really like the AMW software then be my guest, but I would highly recommend Trimble. AMW is strictly a software company. They designed software to put on PC hardware and had to figure out ways to get raw data from GPS equipment to be used for earthwork in general. Trimble has not only created their own software, but hardware too. If you want desktop software so you can survey your fields and create plans even if they will be done in parts, they have Farmworks. A company Trimble owns and has made work seamlessly (in my opinion) for tiling.
