Subject: RE: Insight - viewing maps w/ Adobe

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.
The application reports can be generated by the Insight system and are in the .pdf format. The map that you get with that approach is really just a "snapshot" of the way the onscreen map looked when the report was created. The report consists of that snapshot along with various information about the application situation.

Application reports are just for applications, you can not get an application report for a simple planting situation where no actual application rate was logged.

The Insight also creates an .ilf file for each session which is not really a map but contains the point by point data from which appropriate software can produce a map. Ag Leader's SMS program among others can be used to produce these maps.

The .ilf files are created automatically and those are the files that transferred to your removable memory card when you do the "Copy to Card" from the Home screen.

The warning about deleting the files from the memory is not an erronous statement. The files will be deleted, its just that it doesn't happen instantly so as to give you a "second" chance if your memory card is bad. When you copy to your card plan on transferring those files to anther device very soon. If there is a problem you have a bit of time to try to redo the copy.

If you find that your memory card is bad and want to try again (Don't wait too long) then use the copy files menu from the Console section of the Setup menu. The copy files from the Home screen is slightly different as it will not copy those files that might still be around but were copied earlier.
