You'll be as well off with a tractor grinder mixer "IF" you have a mixer in good shape. Any newer feed mill with extensions will reach most bins, I gather you don't have the big 12 ton bins for your houses. 1105 should cruise with most older mills and all but the biggest new mills. Our 1100 on a 352 , you could overload the mill with dry shell corn and never know it. Barley or oats, she'd talk. Cycle time will depend on distance between grain storage to your barn. We would do about 2 loads an hour roughly. I would suggest finding a 2 1/2 ton mill or bigger if you can.[/QUOTE

Good to know for the 1105. One barn have 9ft 6 sections 24 Mt bins that are listed at 25,5 ft discharge height and the yard is 1 foot below the concrete base so it will not reach.
