SW Saskatchewan | Dad had had a 1912 McLaughlin Buick and after the chassis was made into a wagon, parts of the body still remained in the "dead machine row".
What had impressed me though was that this car had an electric starter. More impressive was the starting switch - no push button start here - a foot long steel lever moved the contacts that were located on the battery cables.
A good pull was more positive than a solenoid. | |
