Colin A. Carter and Henry I. Miller, two academics from the state dependent on snow melt, continue to pump out bad economic analysis and op-ed. It is funny how a low cost octane enhancer magically increases cost of production of RBOB (now 84 octane) to the tune of $20 billion/year. Scott Irwin, how about we put together a panel discussion on this - leave the RIN/RVO issues aside, and focus on the economics of "octane*BTU/$" Forbes is now carrying a piece penned by Jeff McMahon. Does anyone have a better way of getting hold of these two folks (Colin A. Carter and Henry I. Miller)? They have not responded to my inquiries in the past.
