West Central MN (between MMF and Larson's) | I'd only consider it if could lock a good basis. Otherwise you'll be their hostage on that part. They will get the interest on their money back if the basis is open. The board being open is fairly transparent and less games to be played if they need the corn now.
We locked basis and reowned the board for that reason earlier when the e plants needed it, so far that has worked liked we'd hoped it would. Locally the basis has ate most of the board move once the e plants were buying easy enough from the grower. Been working with the premise that basis will get real bad "here" in June/July as long as the new crop isn't dead by then. Grain quality is another x factor. Again "here" there is more FM than usual and moisture's are higher than usual, could be some surprises in the bins this spring.
