I don't think we have ever seen any rodent damage so far and we have been doing it a long time. With all the wind and cold the tarp is still held down nicely and not one bit of frozen silage. We just pull the straw off the top with the loader and cut off the plastic. We use the straw for bedding usually and the cows pic through and eat any silag that was mixed in.
