Faunsdale, AL | Daughter is keeping us posted on her journey back to her apartment from UAB, a trip of about 10 miles which began at about 10:30 this morning. She ended up parking her car and going with 2 other friends. After they sat on the streets until they were worried they would run out of gas, they finally were able to get to a gas station and got something to eat before trying again.
Never made it home, finally got to the friend's apartment nearest to the university after 7-1/2 hours on the streets and are staying there for the night.
Lots of school children and teachers stranded at schools in the Birmingham area tonight,......................this just caught everyone by surprise!
