S Illinois | The problem with the farmers undersold argument is that it doesnt necessarily have to affect the Dec. 1 stocks. Farmers could have the normal harvest delivery amount sold while being seriously undersold for the Dec 1 and after time frame delivery. I know it is hearsay, but in this area corn that must be sold at harvest due to known lack of storage space or for necessary income is the most likely to be priced early. Corn that can be stored on farm does not have that same push for early pricing and as such is more likely to be subject to slow selling especially on declining prices. | |
