west of DSM, Iowa | We just started noticing it last night while the fireplace was on. I think it pulls air out of the house as the fire burns so if the vent is plugged it will pull the sewer gas into the house. Still smells some this am. Hoping for sunshine. I'll be on roof this PM. When we remodeled I extended the stink pipe to encourage gas away from house. But I think under these conditioons it freezes in the pipe before it escapes. Time to shorten pipe.......... | |
