I thought my baling was done for awhile. A neighbour scored another 20 ac of brome and wants me to do halfs with him. I have to get everything back out this week. I probably will if it isn't too rough since we are toasted here aready and I need bales for the cows. From 5/8 until the first week in June we had 7-10 tenths and that was in small showers and evaporated before it hit the ground. The first week in June we had 1.3 inches. Since then we have had 1 decent shower of 0.3 inches. The crops are shot and the hay is shot.
Guys are telling me with farming you have some good years and bad years. At least I am getting my bad years out of the way up front and there is nothing but good going for awhile | |
