One technology used for wireless internet is frequency hopping (changes frequencies all the time to help with interference) - is this the same as the sitenet900? The other, more popular, technology is DSSS (direct sequence spread spectrum) that operates on any of 11 channels (one at a time) - so this just sits on a frequency and it doesn't sound like what the sitenet uses.
