I do think we will have a chance to sell $6 new crop corn with the corn price being pushed higher by soybeans. Without a widespread 1 inch plus rain falling over a widespread area of the Midwest the soybean crop is in serious trouble. 2 inches of rain since July 1st with none in August does not make a bean crop. I am 25 bushel to the acre sold and am afraid to sell more. This is an area of $16,000 per acre ground that normally produces 55-65 bu soybeans.
