Subject: Freezing Corn on the Cob?

United States
Our Roundup Ready sweet corn is fabulous this year. We have already cut some off the cob for freezing. (blanching/cooling first) In the past, we tried freezing some "on" the cob but it seemed to taste like the cob when we ate it. Can anyone help with ways to freeze it on the cob and have it taste good? We have a Foodsaver vacuum sealer and use it for the cut off corn.
