Subject: Re: Foam Isulation

My brother has an insulation business, around 40 years. I work partime for him. He quit using open cell 5 years ago. If you get open cell wet, it will suck water up. not good. He does some homes all closed cell. Not cheap. The first inch of foam costs as much product as the next 2 inches. The heat is sucked out of the first inch, so product does not expand as much. There is also a spider machine which will blow short cut fiberglass and glue. Then you cut off all extra product and put up your drywall.
