Subject: header toggle switch Deere vs Gleaner

Urbandale Ia, (but originally from SE IA)
The header lift control toggle switch on a Gleaner is opposite that of JD. Went from 9500 to R52 back to 9410. Always cussed the Gleaner when we had it, but when we went back to Deere, found I was accustomed to Gleaner. When we had the Gleaner, I was always going to reverse the wiring to make it the same as Deere, but never got around to it. Simple logic to me is that toggle up would be raise and toggle down would be lower.
Backhoe controls vs "european" or excavator controls is another one that can drive you nuts......everything is bass-ackwaards and can make you look like you've never run one before.
And then there's my wifes good ole' Jeep Grand Cherokee where everything is opposed to what I'm used to! Must be a throwback to the AMC/Rambler lineage! Try to turn on the wipers, I shut off the lights, try try too turn on the lights, I turn on the wipers, try to dim the lights, I wash the windows! I try to make sure I don't drive this thing at night if I've had a few beers.
