| As a side note, this fellow I know developing an energy efficient 560 acres in Panama sent me an email yesterday. He is getting a lot of action as they are now running bus tours through the countryside enabling prospective buyers, mostly USA and Europe, to tour the various developments. Panama offers property tax abatement to baby boomers, anonymous land ownership-each lot is held in a corporation & costs $300 per year....& he is installing his own cell phone network to assure privacy and additional security to sense micro wave sensing from the outside along with wireless internet & TV...he indicated Panama is now the second largest banking center in the world as they too, offer secrecy. He made some good dough in costa rica...is a little paranoid in general...seeks privacy and thinks high energy prices are going to change the world....sez no housing crunch there as he is offering 1/2 acre waterfront lots at $70K & moving very well. | |
