Both systems work fine. The only driving point for either choice would be money. If you already had the 2600 and Raven 440 console with the serial port, all you would have to buy in the wiring harness. If your Raven is an older model, with no serial port, then it will need to be upgraded to a newer model or buy the GS2 rate controller. The cheapest route, I believe, will be to upgrade just the Raven 440 console.
