Alton, Ia
That is about the most outlandish post I have ever read on this site.

Duress????? For conspiring parties???? Good luck with that in court.

Criminal action?? You have got to be kidding.

Assuming it's a one year lease, IF the prior tenant was not properly served notice by Sept 1, he might, and likely will, be able to sue to retain possession of it until March 1, 2014. (If multi year, add onto possession date per the lease terms.) Or he could get his crop inputs, time and machinery wear paid back to him, plus potential profit possibly. But getting anything beyond the lease length is NOT going to happen. No way, no how.

I would be more likely to believe we have not heard the whole story. 800 acres of most Iowa ground is worth in the 10+ million range, and people who acquire/manage that kind of assets generally have enough wherewithal to send a certified letter when appropriate.
