I had a landlord hat terminated me April 29 a few years back. His Father turned the land over to him and he wanted a high school friend to farm it. That friend was/is a dow rep. I had farmed it for several years. Every year his father would have a new lease. One of the provisions was I was terminated if a new lease wasn't signed each year. So much for trusting people.I always paid the asking price on the rent and on TIME.
I probably could have had the dow rep fired for renting land away from one of their customers. I did not pursue it. He called me a back pedaled for 20 minutes but never offered to pay for fertilizer and tillage costs. Pretty low.
