nw/nc iowa on the banks of West Buttrick Creek.. | One thing small church have to worry about is "top down" demands from the big dogs. We left the "big" church ten years ago after threats of taking our property away from us, demanding we sign their boiler plate constituion. We told them where to stick it and they could fight us for the property in our town of 300, like they did in down town New York. We are very happy being part of a very loosely knit organization, which does NOT promote the homo sexual life style and that says the Bible is just a bunch of stories. I know the Catholic church really has a iron fist but friends in Wisc are doing battle with the Bishop who wanted the cash out of the Catholic cemetary funds which is a private organization away from the church.
We began breaking away by routing our mission money around the bishop and supporting who we wanted. I think we should pray form our bishops and other church leaders but the best way to end their evil ways is to take their money away. It works and we are proof, had 138 in church last Sunday and an average of 140 for March. We have a very good pastor which helps. There are pastors available even when you leave the big church.
