Washington Co Ks | If you are talking about the rod that is inside the pipe I don't think it can be pulled up enough to fix. You will have to pull the pipe up to a joint and take it apart. There may be a joint a foot or two below the pump. You will need what we call a pipe jack to hold the pipe when taking the pump off. I always leave the pipe knuckle on the pipe in the well so if the pipe were to slip the knuckle will catch and not let the pipe drop down the well. How deep is the well? If it is very deep the pipes full of water will be quite heavy and you will need help. | |
