Southeast SD | I've got an old pump jack style well on the place and tonight the stem broke off about 5 to 6 feet from the top. Does anyone know of a good way to retrieve the part down in the well so it can be fixed and hooked back up? This well is our only source of water for the house so I'm kind of looking for ideas tonight or right away in the morning since I'm not sure I can get someone out quickly to fix it, if there is a way to fix it. The stem that broke looks like about 1" diameter pipe and broke right above some threads it looks like.
