I think Oliver has something, go ahead and lower the door, after you bolt/screw a 2-3in treated strip to the bottom side of the door opening this is going to be hidden by the door rail. Then I would get a piece of 1in square tubing and weld to the angle iron to fill up the gap. This will work if you have enought clearance between the bottom of the opening and the floor. If that is not an option I would get me a 1x2in thick wall tube and weld the the angle iron at the bottom, this would stop the door from blowing in and fill the gap at the bottom of the door. It may be a good idea to drill and pin the tubing into the bottom at the point where most of the wheel traffic inters the door to help hole the tube in place when the wheel shock hits the tube.
