I have not tried anything but 300# as it has worked well for me in a corn on bean stubble application. 300# was very cost effective for me in that app. Now that I am going to more notil corn on corn, I am bumping up the AMS slowly to see where that cost effective threshold is. AMS is more expensive than 28% but very cost effective for my late N needs because of availability of the N and not needing to side dress.
