MN | I would advise to NOT use a roller, I do custom rolling and am as pro-rolling as anybody, but they do not help on rough old sod. I have tried it in more than one instance and the ground needs to be loose for it to be effective. In my limited experience, you can either put up with roughness and no-till, or till heavily. Last fall I disked old sod about 4 or 5 times with an old light disk, better disks will do better. This was not burned off however but it was hayed and it was late fall. | |
