Also, if Pioneer attacks it and they are the only ones selling RR1's, all of their customers are now their competition. Each year Pioneer will have to convince the grower about the advantage of buying "new" RR1 beans versus using their own bin run seed. Monsanto will not have that issue, rather, they will be trying to convince Pioneer guys to try newer "higher yielding" genetics and traits.
