Mine start calving April 1, by the AHA gestation chart anyway.  Looking at mine yesterday after I put out hay and stalks, there is a visible difference in the degree tailhead hair is sticking up from cow to cow - some are very pronounced up others mostly flat. 

The speaker is a very experienced cattleman.
