Subject: Re: Naming pets

Central Illinois
I rescued a cat and for some reason the name Wilber popped into my head, and it stuck. My wifes grandfather, who has passed away, was named Wilber. All of her family thought it was funny when they heard the cats name. I never even thought about it until grandma first met the cat. When she learned it's name I could see some hurt come to her eyes, but never said anything. I felt really bad, especially since I never even put the two together until then. So it could be coincidence. If it was done to cause an issue, then by saying something, the sister-in-law gets the reaction she was hoping for and wins. If your wife laughs about the name, she wins.
