Subject: RE: Claas or New Holland round baler

Perry County, 35 miles NW of Harrisburg, PA
For dry hay: either will do excellent
For ANY baleage: Claas

I bought my Claas 46 with Rotocut mainly for baleage but is does a very nice job in dry hay, straw, corn stalks and bean stubble. It is like a Timex, "takes a licking and keeps on ticking". This baler is almost "idiot" proof. I've used a Gehl in baleage before and you couldn't pay me to take one. Just my observations.

Dave

PS: I've used Gehl and John Deere in baleage, I wouldn't want to depend on either.
