| I also saw that 60 min on glasses. However, I noted that it was not eye glasses that they had cornered the market on but only the frames, and particuarly "fashion frames".
It appears that many people are willingly to spend more on how the how they look than on how they see. Forgive the weak pun. Sadly, not likely to improve my punning as the day progressing.
PS, I checked into that companies stock but its financials did not look very good. Sorrry ! Must be the 2nd cup of coffee kicking in. But not improving the pun quality.
I've been getting my glass prescriptions from local opthamologists, not optometrists, and filled at Costco for 20 years. Ok so far.
A few years ago, my wife had eye surgery to replace her biological eye lens with plastice lens due to her cataracts. That seemed weird to me but it was a huge improvement without any significant problems.
