South Central Wisconsin | Thanks for all the replies. I've been flipflopping ( unless that's a boiler room only word ) on which way to go. I've worn glasses for 40 years, starting at age 6. We do have some family history of eye
problems brought on by diabetes. I have always chosen to go to a Dr. of opthamalogy for that reason. My assumption has been that the chain places would be a bait and switch deal, cost-wise. The quality of care issue doesn't bother me so much anymore. The nearest chain store Doc has a good degree and a good reputation. I dislike the idea of going there thinking I'm going to spend $300 and it winds up being $700, just like the local Dr. would charge. At least the local guy gives back to the community with time and donations. These are some of the rambling, disjointed thoughts in my head, and I still don't know what I'm going to do.....LOL | |
