Casey IL. ( I -70 ) then south on rt.49
I take my bale spear and poke hole down in the top of the bales that helps the molasses run down inside.
I have it go all the way through on to the ground. Now that it has gotten colder I give it a nother day of soaking.
I tried pouring it on with a sprinkler can , did not work well. They did not eat it very good, once I started mix it and steering with my vert mixer they started eating it really good.
A gal of molasses weighs 20 # so 5 gal. is a hundered # so I only put 10 gal. on top to soak in.
I got the last for 19.20/ct. So that is costing me .45 cents a day per cow .
