Casey IL. ( I -70 ) then south on rt.49 | We have had some threads on molasses and I thought I would show how i get it in the mix.
I buy it in 270 gal. toes. As you can see I have a spout and run it in to 5 gal. buckets and then pour it over the top. Bale laying on it's side.
By the time the hay or rye is chopped up the molasses is mixed very will. I try and let it soack for 24 hrs. befor gringing.
It has made some cheap feed ad by it being 90% sugar it is keeping the cows in very good condition. As you have seen in other pictures.
I put 200# per bale on. I feed 6oo# of rye a day so there getting 100# of molasses a day. ( 28 head )
