| Maybe if 10 hungry burly guys went into McDonalds and ordered 5 big macs then fought to see got them for lunch they would get a hunch as to the reality of pen feeding.
If you don't mind seeing a little blood then by all means pen feed! As well as some being "over conditioned" while others stay half starved.
And loading with hotshots,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,If I were a hog I would think I little sting on the butt would be less stressful than hooves across the back , numerous ones if he insist on standing long enough!!!
I wish we could withhold our commodities from these establishments!
