If there was enough profit in feeding $7 corn to dry sows one of the following would happen to cull sows.

 

A.)   Sow farms would build a finisher style building to feed cull sows and hire another person to take care of them.

or

B.)   Someone else would buy those sows and feed them, keeping the profit for themselves.

 

 

 

The money isn't there at current feed costs.      When corn was $2 it made a lot more sense to feed dry sows.
