That brings back a memory of driving a rented 2CV from London to York and back. Pretty much stay in the left lane on the A1 and hope the lorries don't run you down. Seemed very underpowered driving around Yorkshire. A little investigation under the bonnet revealed a burnt out plug wire. Farmer repair with tape and the horsepower was doubled!

Losing half of the horse have different meaning on 2CV than other cars. Big difference if you have 12 or 24 hp! It does not sound much, put it is plenty / ton compared to trucks.
