Texas/New Mexico Stateline | Paul, they just built that highway, to bypass the town. So yes that used to be a pivot. It is long gone.
I don't know what the city folks think about the bypass, but it used to be quite a deal to go through there. Courthouse is right smack dab in the middle of the road. All the US287 traffic had to go around the city square. Very heavily used road by trucks. The main North/South highway for our region. |
