I was looking at the panhandle on Google last nite. Can't imagine the dry to need pivots like that, and no cover all winter - the snow and frozen ground and heavy spring rains here is a different world. We put in tile to drain the ground like you put in pivots to water the ground.....

Anyhow, I was looking at Boise just a little west of you, and noticed a golf course just NE of Boise, and a pivot that appears to have a highway through the middle of it diagonal, pivot doesn't seem to be right any more - wondered if the road killed off the pivot and the water is pumped over to the golf course instead. A person's mind wanders.... I suppose it's just 2 half pivots with that road cutting it in half, but it just doesn't quite look that way on Google, that circle looks more abandoned.....

Thats a freind of mine , he was going to irrigate 80 ac. of grass before bypass come in. We farm out in the dust bowl for sure.Hope it snows or rains this winter we need a drink now.
