Martinsville, Ohio | I have farms that are naturally better for soybeans than corn. and vice versa. What you are speaking of is done here quite a bit. I prefer running a full crop rotation but I would be better off financially and work wise if I didn't. I see no harm in your plan because you can plant a grass cover inbetween and not feel the diffence financially. Soybeans are just easier for me to raise after rye or some other grass. Or you can just plont into the bean stubbles. I have friends that own nothing but a drill and a soybean header and probably make more money than I do. This is not uncommon on Illinoian Glacial Till here. You should see their earthworm population, they can even plug tiles.
