tennessee | Martin, I've never been able to grow good wheat here. Maybe it's just a management problem on my part. I just know that these rented farms will produce corn and it's gotten to be so expensive to grow it I hate to put it on any marginal ground. I can grow 50 bu. beans on my farms with just a little rain at the right time but the best corn I've ever had is 125 bu. on these same farms. Rented farms will make 175 bu. in a good year and 120 in a bad year. | |
