High Springs, Florida
Neighbor across the road has a greenhouse and raises organic herbs and spices, and some vegetables for organic seed. He tells me the organic certification people that come out and do inspections are real a-holes and demand exorbitant rates for inspections. Problem is, he can't stay USDA Certified Organic without these Al Capone's coming in and fleecing him for inspections. From what he has told me, the "inspectors" don't seem to really know much about agriculture in general and pesticides. Some of their regulations concerning organic fertilizer do not seem to make sense to me.

On a more positive note, none of the many gasoline powered lawn equipment, weed whips, chain saws, generators, outboard motors on my two boats have been "ruined" by ethanol, yet. Maybe it needs to set in there a couple more years, for the effects to be seen.
