Row cleaners and a tillage disk work great on my old JD 7000 for 30" beans in corn stalks (and for corn into bean stubble too) in my sandy loam soil. I rented a 15" no till drill one year but the seed placement with the planter is much better making up for the yield difference in 15" and 30" rows. Almost all beans are now planted in 30" rows in my area once again, mostly due to white mold concerns, I believe.
