Driftless SW Wisconsin

Is your 1780 planting at 30" or 15" into cornstalks? As Gerald points out, there is a lot more room to move residue with 30" beans. If you are talking about planting 30" corn into long stem bean stubble you will want a fixed row cleaner back close to the vee opener to get the stretch/cut action or a coulter combo with a good cutting blade.
