| I did that last year and did not get a good kill. I think it was because the planting traffic damaged the rye enough that it was not actively growing anymore. I use a 6 row planter so there was a lot of wheel tracks. I was using Roundup. I have no experience with Gramoxone.
Now I realize that you want to put on your residual early. That is what I am going to try this year but I plan on using Gramoxone instead of Roundup.
