I like to do the burndown in a separate pass. Better control if using glyphosate- Gramoxone doesn't matter when mixed with a residual. I can time the burndown to the maturity of the cover crop. There are times when these trigger points merge and i'll burndown and apply residual at the same time but that is less then 20% of the time.
