Years back the local Cargil operator made a wall chart running the length of his office . I think it covered 10 years . chart was about 10 ft long . he plotted the weekly highs and the weekly sales . Seems most sales were made in a falling market . a few on the up side .and rarely at the market top. We used to play a lot of pitch there in the winter . Made for interesting conversation as to who did what on sales . No elevators left in town buying grain . I owned one of the Cargill elevators for years after they quit . Used to ship malt barley direct to malt plant . Times changed , freight on single cars went through the roof . BN no longer wanted to stop ,switch for small units
